K-Flex Rubber Seam Tape

K-FLEX Seam Tape is a flexible PVC strip tape with an aggresive acrylic adhesive and a polyethylene teraphthalate (PET) release liner. It is designed as a complementary product to K-FLEX Insul-Lock tubing for sealing flexible elastomeric joints.

It can be used on hot and cold water plumbing applications, as well as for a secondary seal (overlap) on colder applications where the seam joint has been sealed with contact adhesive.

K-FLEX Seam Tape has a flame spread rating of 25 or less and a smoke development rating of 50 or less, as tested to ASTM E84 standards.

Description

K-FLEX Seam Tape is flexible and can be pushed around bends without gaping. It can be easily applied (care must be taken not to compress the insulation) and withstands freeze / thaw cycles. Proper pressure should be applied. K-FLEX recommends that insulation is installed on non-operational systems with clean, dry surfaces in ambient conditions between 40°F and 100°F.
